The X-Factor U.K. has been scrambling to look for a fourth judge for the musical competition show. It is now reported that Nicole Scherzinger has signed on for a £750 ($1.17M) deal.
Mel B Marks An X @ 'X-Factor UK' Auditions
Is Nicole really worth that much money to judge a talent show? The Mirror reported that the ex-Pussy Cat Doll was originally offered £500 ($777K) to join the show.
The producers had been auditioning former Spice Girls, Melanie Brown and Geri Halliwell to take the 4th spot, but none made the cut. The seat was left empty after Kelly Rowland left. It had also been rumored that Dannii Minogue, who had been judging the competition in past seasons, asked for too much money to return.
Were the producers that desperate that the show was about to start and needed someone quick and fast? By the looks of it, Nicole was at the right place and the right time. Otherwise it doesn't make sense that Nicole wasn't good enough to judge stateside, but is overly compensated to judge the show in the U.K.
Nicole is not new to The X-Factor U.K.. She was a guest judge during the episode where One Direction was formed. The singer who was also discovered on a reality show will join Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow and Tulisa Contostavlos as mentor and judge.
Do you think Nicole will be a better suited judge for The X-Factor U.K.?
